I've enjoyed tremendously the 1-photo-a-day during the month of June, so I would like to continue doing that for as long as I can. So, after a seven day hiatus, I begin all over again with this labyrinth outside of Grace Cathedral in SF:

Bishop Marc also has a great
post on the movie
Pan's Labyrinth, in which he briefly discusses the history of labyrinths.

There was a young lady walking the labyrinth as I was taking photos, so because I did not want to interrupt her private meditation, I only snapped three photos. Even though the labyrinth is not enclosed in any private space, it seemed...wrong... to step into her personal sanctuary, as it were, and I felt awkward to have captured this moment of her entering the center of the labyrinth -- that particular center of meditation and reflection. Was I wrong to have followed her -- albeit only visually through these digital lenses -- into this sanctum?
