A fool brings the queen an asp;
Another leaves the king
when he's most needed - right
in the middle of the play.

I think a fool is in the doorway
of my life, neither bringing
anything just yet nor going off;
He's there, though, and watching.

It's so quiet I can hear him breathe.
We're not on stage, but I know
that I'm upstaged - and
it's so quiet I can hear him breathe.
